Setup and onboarding

How do I get started with OutboundSMTP?

Sign up for a free trial to get 1,000 email credits — no credit card required. Once your account is active, configure your application to use our SMTP relay or REST API and start sending. Our setup wizard walks you through the process in minutes.

Do I need technical knowledge to use OutboundSMTP?

Basic technical knowledge is helpful, but not required. Our white-glove support team can assist with setup, DNS configuration, and integration. We'll work with you to get everything configured correctly.

What's included in the free trial?

The free trial includes 1,000 email credits, access to our shared IP pool, basic analytics, and email support. No credit card is required to sign up. It's a great way to test our deliverability and reliability before committing to a paid plan.

Do you offer dedicated IP addresses?

Yes. Dedicated IP addresses are available for senders at 500K+ emails per month on the Enterprise plan. We provide IP warming assistance to help you build a strong sending reputation from day one. Additional IPs are available for high-volume senders.

What authentication methods do you support?

We support DKIM signing (all plans), SPF record management, DMARC alignment, and custom MAIL FROM domains. Full authentication support is available on the Professional plan and above. Proper authentication is critical for deliverability and we help you configure it correctly.

Can I send from multiple applications?

Yes. Our sub-account system lets you manage multiple applications with separate API keys, individual usage tracking, and custom sending limits. The Professional plan includes 5 sub-accounts; Enterprise offers unlimited sub-accounts.

How does pricing work?

We offer four tiers: Free (1,000 emails), Starter at $4/month (2,500 emails), Professional at $14/month (25,000 emails), and Enterprise at $69+/month (125,000+ emails). Annual billing saves 20%. Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Changes take effect immediately and billing is prorated so you only pay for what you use.

What happens if I exceed my monthly email limit?

We'll notify you as you approach your limit. You can upgrade your plan or purchase additional email credits. We will never stop your sending without warning — your business continuity is our priority.

Do you offer annual billing?

Yes. Annual billing is available with a 20% discount on all plans. You can switch to annual billing in your account dashboard or contact our sales team.

What is your uptime guarantee?

All plans include a 99.9% uptime SLA. Enterprise plans offer a 99.99% uptime SLA. Our multi-region infrastructure ensures high availability and redundancy so your emails are delivered reliably.

How fast are emails delivered?

Most emails are delivered in under 1 second. Our infrastructure is optimized for speed and reliability, with multiple redundant pathways to ensure fast delivery even during high-volume periods.

What support options are available?

All plans include email support. Professional plans add priority email and phone support. Enterprise plans include 24/7 phone support with a dedicated account manager. Our support team consists of email delivery experts, not generalists.

Do you help with deliverability?

Yes. We offer deliverability consulting, authentication setup assistance, and proactive monitoring. Our team will help you configure DKIM, SPF, and DMARC correctly and monitor your sending reputation to maximize inbox placement.
